George was born in 1778. He passed away in 1853.^[1]

Research Notes

Another profile had this George's death date (6 Dec 1853), but a different location (Wayne, Kentucky). That George - George Jones (1780-1853) - also had "Grayson" as birth location, but which George was born there was unclear as of 20 March 2023.

These two Georges' families appear to have been merged in Find a Grave, and their children in WikiTree still need to be sorted (see Jones-94987#Children). ~ Noland-165, 21 March 2023. Done per administration records 27 Apr 2024 -Kleine-49.

Prudence Jones & Elizabeth Reddick were named in the will of Daniel Keith dated 2nd April 1824 in Jackson County, Indiana. He did not specify these were daughters. Daniel Keith was a named son in the will of George Keith dated 23 Aug 1803 in Grayson County, Virginia. Keith named Abner Jones as an executor... David C. Jones was granted administration of Solomon Ruddick in 1855.

David C. Jones was admin of James Jones. A portion of James land was sold to James K. Jones to pay debts. The children of James & Miranda were named in the accounting.[1] Probate Records, Vol 1, 1854-1856.

Sabrina Jones, widow of the older William Jones who resided next to George was granted admin of his estate in 1855. Probate Records, Vol 1, 1854-1856, pp. 196, 198, 201.
