  • Book "Owen Family History Book" by Bonner Frizzell, published 1961, updated in 1994, by Joe T. Owen, Dallas, Texas. This book was given to Bonner Frizell in1961, by my grandfather, Judge Alvin Luke Williams, this this book was on his own mother, Bessie Mae Owen, he later gave this book to his granddaughter, Dona Floyd (Vance) Kimmons before 1974, when she wrote her own book called "The Williams Family History Book", that he requested her to write on his Williams family, with all birth, death, will, probate, marriage records and biographies, stories, came directly from these descendants and their families in Texas, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Virginia directly to her at that time. She later joined the DAR under Luke Williams,, and Elijah Cornwell, proving her lineage to those ancestors in her own book. Her family is also in Dames of Magna Carta, Americans of Royal Descent, Colonial Dames, as given to her before 1974, by Robbie Gordon (Williams) Hicks, who was 83 years of age at that time, and told her they were direct descendants of King John Plantagenet, and gave Dona all her paperwork in her trunk to copy for her own book, as she had worked for years on this family history. She was the daughter of Nathan Melford Williams and Adeline Eluisa Cornwell, both buried in Lufkin, Texas, with their photos on their tombstones. All information in both books are verified as true. The Owen Family History Book was also given to Dona Floyd (Vance), author, at the time she wrote her own book in 1974, the "Williams Family History Book", 1974, by Dona Vance, copyrited in Washington, D.C.
