Biography

Warren was born in 1884 to Benjamin Franklin Harris and Sarah Elizabeth Byrom.^[1][2] In 1905, he married Lizzie Copaus and they quickly had two daughters, Ethyl and Edith, and soon moved to Texas where her mother was living.^[3][4] They were back in Missouri before they had their two sons, Lawrence and Baker.^[5]

Lizzie died in 1941^[6] and Warren married Minnie Smith. He died in 1963.^[7]

Paternal and maternal relationship is confirmed by an AncestryDNA test match between Marcie (Korte) Ruiz and S.D., 3rd cousins. Their most-recent common ancestors are their great-great-grandparents Benjamin Franklin Harris (abt.1852-1929) and Sarah Elizabeth Byrom (1857-1888). Predicted relationship reported by AncestryDNA: 4th cousins based on sharing 63 cM shared across 6 DNA segments; Confidence: Extremely High.

Research Notes

1. His mother died about 1888 when he was about 4 years old. His father remarried about 1897 and in the 1900 census, neither Warren nor his two other minor siblings were still living with their father. His sister Ora at 16 was living alone in a boarding house and Almona at 12 was living with her married sister Nancy. I cannot find any record of 15-year-old Warren in 1900. I've checked for him living alone or in a boarding house, with his siblings, and with his paternal and maternal uncles and aunts.
