Mrs. S. Elizabeth Harry Found Dead in Bed

Mrs. S. Elizabeth Harry, widow of James I. Harry, was found dead in bed at her home, 317 Merrill street, about noon yesterday when relatives, alarmed at her absence from church services at which she was a regular attendant, forced their way into the home. Death had come about midnight Saturday and was apparently due to heart trouble, a physician called to examine her stated.

Mrs. Harry and one son, Blair, have been the only members of the family at home recently. The son had gone out of town for the week-end and Mrs. harry was alone Saturday night. She was not missed until about noon Sunday, when neighbors, who had noted her absence from church, failed to see any signs of life about the house.

A call was sent to sons of Mrs. harry, who came at once to the home and forced an entrance when they found all the doors locked. They found Mrs. Harry in bed, appearing as though she had slept peacefully away in the night.

Mrs. Harry was an active woman and apparently had been enjoying excellent health. She was 69 years of age on August 17th, but had the appearance of a woman much younger. She was a faithful and industrious member of the West side Methodist Church and it was her absence from the morning services of that congregation that led friends to think there was something wrong. She was highly thought of in her community and news of her death came with very painful suddenness to her many friends as well as to her family.

Funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 1:30, following which her body will be taken to Kylertown for interment. Obituary later.
