Biography

Mansfield Benton Gin went by the nickname of "Bud" and he was born 3 April 1894 in Auburn, Nemaha county, Nebraska. His birth information was found on his WWI draft registration.[1]

Bud's mother was named Mary and he had two sisters, Avis and Lillian, who were all living in Auburn in 1920.[2]

He married Leona Gertrude Green Curtis, a widow, on 1 February 1922. Bud and Leona had one daughter, Gleola, and raised Leona's older daughter, June, from her previous marriage. The four of them were living in Douglas township in 1930.[3] 1940 found Bud, Leona and Gleola living in Auburn.[4] Bud worked as a carpenter.

Bud died in August of 1949 in Auburn. His burial was in Sheridan Cemetery.[5]
