Antoine Blanc Gingras was born in 1821 in Red River Settlement, son of Antoine Cuthbert Gingras (1771– ) and Marguerite Madeleine Trottier (~1796–1879).^[1]

Antoine (15) married Scholastique Trottier (14) (born about 1822 in Pembina Assiniboia; daughter of Joseph Trottier) in 1837 in Pembina, Dakota Territory. Their children were:

• Angelique Gingras (~1838–1912)
• Marie Gingras (~1839–1883)
• Francois Gingras (1844–1895)
• Octavie Rose Gingras (1858–1897)
• Charles Gingras (1864–1902)

Antoine died on September 26, 1877 in St. Joseph, Dakota Territory, aged 55. He was buried in Saint Boniface Cemetery, Walhalla, Pembina County, North Dakota.^[1]
