James's birth was registered in 1884 in the Tarves district.^[1]

In the 1891 census James (age 7), Scholar, was the son of James Davie in Tillymaud Cottage, Udny, Aberdeenshire.^[2]

James's marriage to Margaret Barbour was registered in 1912 in the St Nicholas district. The couple married on 30 Nov 1912 in Aberdeen, noted as the son of James Davie, railway surface railwayman and Isabella Davie , ms Ledingham. Witnesses were James Moir, Rayne and Jessie Moir his wife ^[3]

James died on 10 February 1921 in Aberdeen, Scotland. Noted as the son of James Davie, Rothes and a motor man, who worked for Shore Porters Society ^[4][5]
