The Profile Improvement Project (PIP) is performing a check-in with project members. Please review the following and respond to let us know that you are content with your current team or if you would like to be more involved.
The Project operates in a team structure. There are currently three participant PIP Teams -- The Maintenance Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. There is also the Voyage Team which guides new Voyagers. See the Profile Improvement Project Teams for a brief outline of each team.
There are currently three different Biography Teams - The Biography Team, the Abandoned Team, and the Popular Team.
You're currently identified as a member of the Biography Team. The Biography Team works on profiles from their watchlist and other profiles that interest them.
Are you happy with the Team you are on? If you are interested in working with a different Team, please let us know.
If you have not already done so, we invite you to join the email GoogleGroup and text chat Discord channel for our project. (You will need your Wiki ID for both). Neither is required; we also use the Profile_Improvement tag in G2G for Project announcements.
We thank you for all you do to help the Profile Improvement Project meet its goals. The Profile Improvement Project (PIP) is performing its first annual check-in with our project members. Please review the following and let us know if you are content where we have placed you or would like to be more involved.
We are in the process of transitioning to a team structure. There will be three participant PIP Teams to start -- The Maintenance Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. There is also the Voyage Team who guide new Voyagers. See the Profile Improvement Project Teams for a brief outline of each team. You're currently identified as a member of the Biography Team Level 1, working on profiles from your own watchlist and whatever else you find. Biography Teams Levels 2 and 3 will work on designated profiles for notables (Level 3) and everyday people (Level 2). Please let us know if you would like to help with another Team.
You joined the Project before the Voyage started in late 2018. We would like to invite you to consider a "fast track" Voyage, especially if you would like to work at a higher level on the Biography Team. If you’re interested, choose a profile ‘’’from your own watchlist’’’ that you have completed to the best of your ability and compare it to the Voyage Biography Standards. If your profile is at Level 2 or better, include a link to the profile in your response to this check-in for a “fast track” review.
We would also like to invite you to join the email GoogleGroup and text chat Discord channel for our project. (When you request to join our GoogleGroup, please be sure to include your Wiki ID). Neither is required; we also use Profile_Improvement in G2G for Project announcements. You will find more information on the GoogleGroup. https://groups.google.com/d/forum/wtprofileimprovement

I belong to a Daniel(s) group project at FTDNA. One member of the group has the same DNA Haplogroup as in your William Daniels born 1815. They have traced the linage back to Roger Daniel b. 1520 d. 1570 United Kingdom. Might be worth it to join the project.
I have been looking for 40 year for the parents of Henry and Michael Wilson of the Bachman Valley in Maryland. In that area in 1810 (Patapsco Upper Hundred, Baltimore, Maryland ) there is a Uriah Wilson with a large family. Is this by any chance part of your gang? Thanks. Jane. This is the record: https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/68370:7613

Its Woodall-406 and Woodall-408 on the profile of John Woodall Jr Woodall-167. Would you please check to make sure I am still on the right branch, it was somewhat hard to break through.

What I'd really like to see is Lancaster County--that part that was Heidelberg-town (Myerstown today) and later partitioned into Lebanon and Marion counties. That's where the militarily-inclined Copenhavers and gun-hawking Schells would have interacted to produce and deploy some of the finest long-rifles of that era.
I agree it would be interesting to connect the sharp-shooting riflemen in the Revolution (Koppenhaver and his fellow soldiers)with the craftsmen gun-makers and the locations of forges. I reckon that to have the best shooters you need 3 things: a forge, guys who know how to craft the finest rifles, and guys who can shoot. Have you ever seen the map of Tulpehocken region from 1776? It shows militarily-relevant things such as forges on the map. Somebody has written guns right on the map. I dont know the original source for this map.
Thank you so much for responding to our check-in for the Miltary and War Project.
We are sorry to hear that you are not currently active, but we understand that life happens and interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.
Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.
