Hi! I followed a short trail of "Comforts" to reach you (Leroy to Winifred to you). Winifred would have been my Great-Aunt, and while I have quite a bit of information that's been passed down to me that I'm slowly working through, information on my grandfather's side (that would be Winifred's brother) seems to be a bit more scarce, at least in the more recent generations. If you'd be interested in comparing notes, please let me know!

Lizzie,

It was nice to hear from you. I'd be glad to correspond with you regarding our shared ancestry but most of my knowledge is about the Comforts and not the Crawfords. I do have a handwritten note from my brother that Winifred died in April, 1988. Also, I believe that Leroy and Winifred's son Charles (Charlie) is still living, most likely in the Adrian, Michigan, area. I haven't seen Charlie in many years but he came to some of our family reunions. So, if I have this right, your grandfather would have been Charlie's uncle. Charlie would be 92 years old but he might have some insight into the life of his uncle, your grandfather. I believe Charlie has five children and I can share a bit more information about that privately.
