On June 11, 1766, “the Last Will and Testament of James Collins, deceased, was proved by the oath of John Woolf oik [Woolfolk] and Paul Thilman, witnesses thereto; John Collins, executor therein named having taken the oath and given bond as the law directs, certificate in due form is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof”. It was “ordered that James Dismuker, Richard Woolf oik, William Southworth, and Thomas Laughlin or any three of them being first sworn before some Justice of Peace of this county do appraise in current money, the slaves and personal Estate of James Collins, deceased, and return same to court”. Witnesses: John Wollfolk, Paul Thilman.
