Father Sir Hubert de Burgh, Earl of Kent, Constable of Dover Castle & of the Tower of London, Seneschal of Poitou, Justiciar of England & Ireland, Sheriff of Herefordshire, Somersetshire, Dorsetshire, Berkshire, Lincolnshire, Kent, Surrey, Norfolk, Suffolk, & Westmorland d. c 5 May 1243
Mother Margaret of Scotland, Princess of Scotland d. 15 Nov 1259
Meggotta (Margaret) de Burgh[1] was born circa 1223.[2] She married Sir Richard de Clare, 8th Earl Clare, 5th Earl Hertford, 2nd Earl Gloucester, son of Sir Gilbert de Clare, Magna Charta Surety, 3rd Earl Gloucester, 7th Earl of Clare, 4th Earl of Hertford and Isabel Marshal, before 29 September 1236 at St. Edmund's Bury, Suffolk, England; Secretly married before Michelmas. No issue.[3] Meggotta (Margaret) de Burgh died in November 1237.[4]
