Sarah Brown, daughter of Deacon Joseph and Sarah (___) Brown was born at Newbury, Massachusetts on January 22, 1698. [1][2]
Sarah married Daniel Currier on December 12, 1717. Her husband Daniel was born at Amesbury, Massachusetts on May 31, 1692, son of Thomas and Mary (Osgood) Currier. [3][2]
Her husband Daniel died at Salisbury on September 24, 1727. [4][2]
In Daniel's will, dated on May 22, 1727, he left his estate to wife Sarah and sons Joseph and Benjamin. [5][2]
In her father Joseph Brown's will, written on June 30, 1729, he left bequests to his surviving children included daughter Sarah, relict of Daniel Currier. [6]
After Daniel's death Sarah, then of Salisbury, married second, widower Joseph Sargent of Amesbury on April 8, 1731. [4][2] He was born at Amesbury on June 2, 1687, son of Thomas and Rachel (Barnes) Sargent. [3]
In September, 1632, Joseph Sargeant was appointed guardian to Benjamin Currier, aged about 11 years, minor son of Daniel Currier deceased. [7]
Joseph Sargent died at Amesbury on May 16, 1733.[3] He died intestate and his estate was administered by his brother John Sargent. [8]
On July 1, 1733, a committee set off one third of the real estate of Joseph, to his widow Sarah Sargeant, during her natural life. [8]
Sarah married Jarvis Ring Jr. at Salisbury on May 24, 1736. [4] He was born there on October 2, 1686, son of Jarvis Ring Sr.. and Hannah Fowler. [2]
A committee was established to make the estate division, and in an undated document, one third was set off to the widow Sarah Sargent, alias Ring. [8]
Jarvis Ring died at Salisbury on April 8, 1738. [4][2]
On June 3, 1738, widow Sarah Ring notified the court that she declined administration of her husband Jarvis Ring's estate. [9]
Sarah then married Ephraim Leavitt/Lovett before March, 1738. [8]
On March 2, 1738, Sarah Leavitt, widow of Joseph Sargent, and her husband of Ephraim Leavitt, petitioned the court, as Joseph's children were now of age asking that Sarah's third of the real estate be divided among the children, setting off to Sarah the homestead rather than breaking up the real estate among the heirs. [8]
On March 15, 1738, the court established a committee to set off one third of Jarvis Ring's estate to his widow, Sarah Ring, alias Lovett, as her dower right. [9] And again, in August, 1743, a committee was assigned to set off one third of Jarvis Ring's real estate to widow Sarah. [9]
On May 21, 1744, Ephraim Lovitt submitted an account to the court for keeping youngest son of widow Hannah Ring, since December 28, 1741. [9]
In May, 1745, David Ring, then administrator, who had been authorized to sell the real estate of of Jarvis Ring's estate, and from that sale it is noted Ephraim Lovet was paid L23 10s 6d. [9]
