Biography

Nathan Batchelder was born at Hampton Falls, N. H., on 2 Jul 1729, the son of John Batchelder and Abigail (Cram) Batchelder.^[1]

In a space of eight days, from 25 Feb 1760 to 3 Mar 1760, all three then-living children of Nathan and Elizabeth Batchelder died at Kensington.^[2]

The will of Nathan Batchelder of Kensington was made in 1 May 1764 and proved on 26 Jun 1765. He gives his wife Elizabeth and his mother Abigail Bachelder the use of a horse equally. He names his son John Batchelder, under 21; his brother, Benjamin Bachelder; and "my sisters ... viz. Sanborn Shaw Sherburne Lane and Dow." His cousin Nath" Bachelder is named as the executor. Winthrop Rowe was appointed administrator with will annexed, the executor having died.^[2]

Nathan Batchelder died at Kensington on 23 Jan 1765.^[2]
