Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
Thanks Pam. I wanted to add a pre-1700 profile for a François Daveniere or Davinière (abt 1690–bef 1738, Normandie, France), father of Davinière-17 (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Davinière-17). I looked at the Pre-1700 guidelines first and also asked about creating him on G2G. A France Project member responded and gave the green light. I doubt I will be creating anymore any time soon, but at least I know the process now.
I totally understand! I'm not got with profiles that far back. I also certified but it's been a while. I probably will need a refresher course if I run into someone that I "Need" to fix up. Glad to have you. Every profile created helps build the tree. I think of them as leaves and the more we have the more shade the tree produces. 😆
Eric, I'm so glad you joined Team Roses for sourcing fun and helped us source 4282 profiles. We took 2nd place by average score! Our next exciting event will likely be a Connect-A-Thon in January. Keep an eye out for announcements.
