Biography
Eliza (Allman) Barnard was born in Ireland.
Elizabeth was born in Bandon, County Cork about 1823.
She migrated to Australia, along with her family, in 1852. They travelled on the ship Peru which arrived at Port Phillip on 25 December. [1]Note: The ship's name has been wrongly transcribed on some records. The original document states Peru.
Elizabeth married Francis Barnard in Victoria in 1857.[2]
They had five children.
- Francis George Allman (Bernard) Barnard (1858-1932)
- Elizabeth Frances Allman (Bernard) Barnard (1859-1935)
- Alfred Edward Allman (Bernard) Barnard (1861-1938)
- Albert William Allman (Bernard) Barnard (1864-1941)
- Robert James Allman (Bernard) Barnard (1866-1945)
Elizabeth died in 1913, aged 90.[3]
