CLYDE ELROY ALLEN

"Jim"

A Loving husband, father, brother and friend.

Jim was born June 2, 1919, in Springfield, OH. He and his wife moved to Fresno in 1973. Jim passed away Saturday, January 13, 2001, in Fresno.

He will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Marna; son, James; grandchildren, Jaime Richardson and her husband, Dave, Jeff Allen and his wife, Christi; great-grandchild, Madison; son, Robert and his wife, Leticia; grandchildren, Jennifer Nelson and her husband, Keenan of Ukiah, Curt Allen of Ukiah, Eric Chow-Allen and Robert David Allen of Fresno, and his sisters, Lillian Frank and Mary Jane Burkhardt of Vandalia, OH.

Jim was most proud of serving his country during World War II as a Machinist Mate 3rd class aboard the U.S.S. Stephen Potter. He worked for NCR and Orchard Supply before retiring. He was a member in good standing of the Springfield, OH, Masonic Lodge #101. In 1998, he proudly was awarded his 50-year pin. He was affiliated with the Fresno Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Tehran Temple. He was a member of the Shriners' Clowns. As "Beanie", he delighted in bringing smiles to the faces of children.

Graveside Services will be held at Clovis Cemetery on Friday, January 19, 2001, at 2:00 P.M.
