originally had Tempy Caroline Austin as Jacobs 2nd Wife after Polly Dixon based on 1850, 1860, and 1870 census. Also, copy of marriage license.

Most convincing thing though, was the DNA hit I got from the descendants of one of her children James Johnson Albright (son of Tempy) 1851-1909. Ancestry claims he's a half brother of Oswell based on my and other DNA hits and my Half 3rd Great Grand Uncle.

I also show DNA hits from descendants of Jonathan F. Albright 1817-1904 (Oswell's brother) Ancestry lists him, based on the DNA as my 3rd Great Grand Uncle.

I'm looking over Tempy Caroline Austin again, as I've found claims of a Caroline Austin that was the wife of a Jacob Albright 1810-1880 and a mother to William Nelson Albright.

I doubt this information I read today regarding Caroline Albright is accurate though, as I'm not finding any real evidence.

Recently ordered y chromosome testing, in order to try to narrow things down.

Merry Christmas!!!!

I guess we are cousins since Josiah F. N. Stephens was my 2nd Great Grandfather.

I'm new on WikiTree and just browsing around.

Hi, Dawn,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
