Biography

Catherine Word Crawford is buried at Peete Cemetery in Limestone County, Alabama.^[1] The engraving on her tombstone has birth as Dec 18 1794 and death as June 2 1826.

Catherine and Samuel had three children according to Will Franke's Word Family Scroll. They were Robert, Catherine and Ann. A family tree at Family Search and Ancestry have these three and two others, Bennett and Renfree. Will Franke noted that Catherine first married a Bennett. After his death, she married a Gregory; and after he died, she married a Mullens. Ann married a Renfroe. He also noted Robert died as a young man, no age given. But very little information seems to be available on these children of Catherine and Samuel.
