Biography

Peter was born about 1778. He was the son of John Willson and wife Mary. He was named in the will of his father dated 17th December 1794 in Amelia County, Virginia.^[1]

Peter was a minor, under the guardianship of his uncle Charles Wilson, when married to Martha Tanner. One child, Judith B. Wilson, was born of this marriage. ^[2]

Peter's young widow Martha again married in 1799 to Thomas Huddleston. Chancery suit records indicate Robert Tanner became guardian to Judith B. Wilson and Thomas Huddleston signed a bond with Robert Tanner to administer over Peter's estate after his marriage to Martha.^[3]
