William was born in 1822. He was murdered in spring/early summer of 1863, 2-3 months before his son was born in August.
He was actually son of Samuel Pleasant Whitson and Alice Letitia Gowen Easley. Parents attached to this profile are not correct. Whitson-1016 has the correct information.
