John Archibald Watson was born in 1898, son of John Archibald Watson (1868–1954) and Florence Virginia Thetford (1877–1947).
John died in 1987, aged 88. He was buried in Crowville Cemetery, Crowville, Franklin Parish, Louisiana.[1] [2]
In 1900, John (1) was living in household of John A Watson (31) in Wards 3-4 Lamar village, Franklin, Louisiana with his parents, John A (31)Florence V (24) and John A (2); and his siblings, Lilian E (6), and Preston F (4). [3]
In 1910, John (11) was living in household of John A Walson (40) in Police Jury Ward 4, Franklin, Louisiana with his parents, John A Walson (40)Florence F Walson (30) and John A Walson (12); his siblings, Lillian E Walson (16), and Preston T Walson (14); and Burl Walson (7), Barnes Walson (5), Cammie Walson (3), and Letha Walson (0). [4]
John registered for the draft for World War I. At the time he was single and working on his parent's farm in Crowville, Franklin, Louisiana.[5]
John married Armentha Francis Fletcher on 24 Decemeber 1925 in West Carroll, Louisiana.[6]
In 1940, John (41) was living in Norphlet Township, Union, Arkansas with his father, John A (42); and Armintha Watson (33), Mildred Watson (11), and Evelyn Watson (5). [7]
