Note N1448Beatrice had two illegitimate daughters. Ivy Beatrice Larkman WARD and Alma WARD. Alma was adopted by George and Emily PELLAT and legitimised in 1925. Ivy was also legitimised and married William WELSH.

Beatrice married William GOODGER in 1940 he had two sons from a previous marriage. 1

Jane (Palliser) Goodger
Other than Beatrice having married William Edmonds GOODGER in 1940 (over 20 years since the birth of her illegitimate children and her "interesting" life up until 1940 - Electoral Rolls tell the story up until 1940) there is NO connection whatsoever (genealogically or otherwise) Beatrice or her family have with the GOODGER family. While, given Beatrice's life may cause her descendents to claim a connection to a good family, I have been the GOODGER family genealogist for 38 years, I'm particular about the correct genealogy information online and with my husband being William E. Goodger's grandson, I have recent and both not so recent factual GOODGER family information. Same applies to the PARDOE family (my husband's grandmother's family and William GOODGER's first wife who sadly died in her 20's) - no connection between PARDOE and related names to Beatrice WARD's family.

It is a fact that Beatrice Louisa WARD married William Edmonds GOODGER in Christchurch on 08 Jan 1940.

They lived as husband and wife until William's death in 1957. While there seems to be strong disapproval by at least one researcher of Beatrice's relationship with William, the fact remains they were married and this is why their relationship is recorded in my Wiki Tree and other family tree programs.
