Biography

James Edward Walker was born on April 22, 1897 in Salem, Roanoke, Virginia, United States, son of Andrew Floyd Walker (1853–1915) and Barbara Biddle Patterson (1869–1953).

James (22) married Zelica Blanche Harrah (16) (born on December 23, 1903 in Clifton Forge, Alleghany, Virginia; daughter of Melvin Washington Harrah and Minnie Irene (Vess) Walker) on February 19, 1920 in Clifton Forge, Virginia.

Their children were:

In 1920, James and Zelica lived in Salem, Roanoke, Virginia, United States.[1]

He lived in Clifton District, Alleghany, Virginia, United States for about 20 years.[2][3]

In 1949, James married Inez Rice Reynolds in Old Lick, Roanoke, Virginia, United States.[4]

They had 1 child: Gloria Jean Walker-1946–2015.

He died on 11 October 1977, in Buchanan, Botetourt, Virginia, United States, at the age of 78,[5] and was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan, Botetourt, Virginia, United States.[6]
