must be daughter of a David Thompson m Mary Blackman, not David Thompson d 1757 m 1) Mary Comstock and then 2) Susannah Darling. Both appear to have lived in Stoughton at that time. Vital records support David and Mary Blackman as David d 1757 was deceased and this son David b 1738 only had 3 children per census records and all are accounted for in his will (no Anna).
Biographical sketch from Dorchester history also mentions Jesse Holmes (son of Rachel, daughter of David and Mary) as being a person who remembers David Thompson. This would be likely if he was his uncle.
