Phoebe was born in 1835, the daughter of Burrell Thompson and Phoebe Watson. Her brother was Burrell Coker Thompson who married Dedenia Haynes, the sister of Simeon Haynes.
Phoebe and Simeon were married in Talladega County, Alabama, by Jefferson Riley, J. P. She was living with Simeon in the 1900 Census, but it appears she died before 28 Apr 1910. Simeon was listed in the 1910 Census as widowed. She is buried at Eulaton First Baptist Church Cemetery, Oxford, Calhoun County, Alabama.
