According to his marriage certificate, Fred was born about 1878 at Ste-Anne, Madawaska County, NB to the late Damase Thériault and Sophie Martin. He gives his age as (22) on the form. He married Clarisse Chamberland on Jan 15, 1901 at Ste-Anne.^[2]
