Ann (Taylor) Barnes was born in Bolton, Lancashire, England.

Ann Taylor was born in 1820 in Bolton, Lancashire, England, [1] the daughter of Thomas Taylor, a moulder. [2]

She married James Smith, a bricklayer's labourer from Sevenoaks Kent. They married on 16 July 1841 in the church of St Mary, St Denys and St George, Manchester, Lancashire. [3]

In 1861 Ann was living with her husband and 7 children in Manchester.[1]

Her husband died.

When Ann was aged 49, she married Hugh Barnes, a widower, on 2 October 1870 in Manchester Cathedral. [2]

In 1881 Ann was living in Hulme, Lancashire.[4]
