Biography

Nancy Elizabeth Taylor was born on May 9, 1844 in East Haddam, Middlesex, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Frederick and Lucinda (Ingraham) Taylor. Her mother's name is represented as "Celinda" in the 1850 Federal Census, and as Selinda in her mother's marriage record to Frederick.

Nancy married Henry Greene on November 30, 1862 in Tolland, Tolland, Connecticut. They had several children including Mary H., George E., Charles E., Almira E., Any aka Annie Ella, and Nellie L.. In 1870, Henry, Nancy, and family were residing in Lebanon, New London, Connecticut. Henry's occupation was farming. Before 1880, they returned to their place of marriage: Tolland, Tolland, Connecticut where they continued to raise their family and live out the rest of their lives.

Nancy, widow, passed away on October 1, 1916 in Tolland. She is buried there at the South Yard Cemetery.
