FUNERAL of Mr J. TAYLOR.—The funeral of Mr. Joseph Taylor took place yesterday afternoon. Mr. Taylor has been for a great many years a member of the volunteer forces, and also of the Newcastle Fire Brigade.
The funeral was conducted by the fire brigade, that being his special wish. The procession moved from deceased's residence in the following order :-Band of the Newcastle Volunteer Artillery, playing the "'Dead March in Saul," the corpse on a fire brigade engine, members of the fire brigade, the public, the volunteer artillery, naval brigade and rifles. The cortege was of considerable length, and of very impressive appearance.
