Biography

Thomas Storey is Notable.

Thomas was the son of [Storey-2888|Isaac Storey] and [Patrickson-31|Phoebe Patrickson]. He was born on 28 Oct 1825 and baptised in Bardsea on 27 Nov 1825. Founder of the Storey Company in 1848. On 17 May 1852 Thomas married Eliza Anne Sherren in Lancaster, but she predeceased him, being buried in Lancaster on 4 Nov 1861. Thomas then married Annie Williamson Blades in Lancaster on 20 Oct 1862. He served as Mayor of Lancaster in 1867, 1873, 1874 and 1887. Philanthropist. Knighted by Queen Victoria at Balmoral on 12 Sep 1887. Thomas passed away on 13 Dec 1898 and was buried in Lancaster.
