Marianna married Johann Krollig in Groß Dammer, Posen, Prussia (now in Poland), and had two daughters when the family migrated to South Australia in 1844.[1][2]
When the family arrived in South Australia, they lived first at Friedrichstadt (south of Hahndorf), then Blumberg (now Birdwood) and finally moved to Nain (west of Greenock). They bought their first land at Nain on the day of the birth of their first son (and sixth child), Johann Friedrich Krollig. They later added to this farm.[1]
Their first two daughters were born in Prussia:[1]
The young family migrated to South Australia and arrived on 12 September 1844 at Port Adelaide, South Australia, Australia aboard George Washington[3]

They lived around Blumberg (now Birdwood) then moved to Nain around 1854. Two sons were born there:
Marianna died after an extended illness on 4 June 1891 and is buried at Nain Lutheran church cemetery.
