I recently edited George Puddington (abt.1600-abt.1647), and Genej X is apparently reviewing my changes. George is PGM. I now have edited his wife Mary (Pooke) Davis (abt.1609-abt.1695). She is not labelled as PGM. Does the PGM group review the profile and decide whether to add the label? Do I submit a request for a review to the PGM group via the G2G questions tagged PGM? Or, as a non-PGM member, can I just add the label myself?

I am adding my Ancestry tree to WikiTree, and I am just getting to pre-1700 ancestors. I have pre-1700 certification, but I think I need to join the PGM group to be able to create pre-1700 profiles. I am anticipating that most of my immigrant ancestors already have profiles. My immediate concern is creating a profile for Thomas Mussey, father of Lydia Lydia (Mussey) Purington (abt.1669-1737). Thomas is discussed in the Great Migration, vol V pg 204-205, but his immigration date is not known. Anderson discusses Thomas basically to clear up errors in other published works on early Mussey immigrants. Thomas appears in York County records from about 1650 to 1687.

This could be something about Discord, or Google Groups, or managed profile spreadsheets, or challenge participation or really anything. If you like everything the way it is, you can let me know that too :)

I promised to let you know which team I would join within the PGM Project. I'd like to join the "Profile Improvement Team". My main goal is to try to use original English parish and other records (wills, land registry docs, local history archives) to improve the profiles of the migrants, and when possible check, clarify or prove their family origins. I will generally leave the Anderson-related and sourcing of American records to others who are resident in USA, and more easily able to verify those records offline where required.

Wikitree is quickly becoming a full-time activity for many people. I am past those days, but I would be glad to work on the PGM Profile Team as time allows. I have dozens of PGM ancestors and have been neglecting them lately. I am also a Data Doctor and a member of Categorization.

Basically I am a newbie to Wikitree and have several New England great Migration Migrants and wondering what is involved with the project and how do I become involved? I tried following the email content but got lost, sorry.

I noticed that you made some major changes earlier to Abigail Acey's profile. You disconnected her parents and changed her data. This is Pre-1700 and a Project managed profile. Please review the help page on Pre-1700 Profiles. Especially, the parts about Project managed Pre-1700 profiles and, communication before editing or, making major changes.

Sorry for the late response. The best way to help on the Wheeler study is to go in and start checking profiles. If there is something that can be added, corrected or even just straighted up according to guidelines, go for it if you can.

In reviewing my original Tree on Ancestry , my 14th Great-Grandparents were George and Elizabeth Wheeler. George was born in 1500 in Marston, Bedford , England. I don't have much on Elizabeth other than their Marriage, listed in the Warwickshire, England records. and that they had a son named John, born in 1538. I have to take the time to hand write all the dates and info and haven't been able to do so as yet. As I said in my previous message, my first Tree is a Mess so I am starting Fresh. Thank You , Again, for Your Assistance.

Thank You So Much for Your Message regarding the Wheeler Family. I actually had to start a new Tree on Ancestry because everything got so messed up on my first one. I will definitely look at the information you've told me about. I know my connection is to the Wheelers that settled in Connecticut some 400 years ago.
