Captain Daniel Shay served with 5th Massachusetts Regiment (1777), Continental Army during the American Revolution.

Daniel Shay is best known as leader of Shay's Rebellion in 1786, his condemnation for the part he played in the uprising, rather that his bravery at Bunker Hill. [1]
