Biography
Ellen (Hellen) Say was the eldest daughter of William Say, Proctor of the Arches, and his wife Isabell Nelham. She was born about 1538 at Ickenham Middlesex, where the Shorediche family were then lords of Ickenham Manor. [1]
She married Edmunde Shorediche, heir to the manor of Ickenham. The memorial brass for the couple shows two sons and one daughter; while the parish register [2] shows three sons born, it appears that one of these had died young.

Edmunde Shorediche died in 1584 and was on 3 December buried at Ickenham where his commemorative brass marked his grave. Hellen Shorediche was buried with him at Ickenham on 8 June 1591. [3]
