According to her burial record, Ann Sage was born in 1806. The 1861 Census shows her as resident in Manchester, Lancashire, and gives her birthplace as Redbourn (which could be Redbourn, Hertfordshire, or Redbourne, Lincolnshire). A person called Ann Sage was baptised at Redbourn, Hertfordshire, on 8 June 1806. Her father was John Sage, and her mother was Mary. Ann Sage married Robert Jones at St Mary's, Manchester, Lancashire, on 7 Dec 1836. Their son John Jones was baptised at Manchester in 1845. Ann Jones was buried at Farnworth, St John The Evangelist, Lancashire, on 12 June 1881.
