Biography

James Roman was born in England.

In 1884 he married Louisa Wilson in St Saviour, Lambeth, London.^[1] They had 8 or 9 children:
* James George b1886
* Henry Walter b1887,
* Henrietta Mary b1889 and died within a year
* John b1891
* Patrick (Patsie) Cornelius b1894
* Dennis (Danny) b 1898
* Kathleen Mary Harding? b1900
* Maurice b1906 maybe a bit by surprise as Lousia was over 40 and a big gap

In 1891 he lived with his wife Lousia and sons James, Henry and John working as a mason's labourer.^[2]

In 1911 all but one of his children had moved out and he was now working as a Hawker of Salt.^[3]

In 1921 James was with his with wife Louisa, children Kathleen, Maurice, brother John and his wife Beatrice and their son Henry John in Newington, ^[4]

He died in 1927 having been a Southwark resident his whole life.^[5]
