Biography
Josephine (Rich) Haswell is Notable.
Josephine was born in 1866[1] and was christened on 16 December at Spaxton, Somerset[2]. She was the daughter of William Gordon Rich and Stuart Maitland. She passed away in 1940[3][4] and was buried at Waverley Cemetery, Sydney[5].
In 1894 at St Lukes, Christchurch, New Zealand, Josephine married Professor William Aitcheson Haswell[6][7].
Josephine was a New Zealand zoologist and one of only four New Zealand women who published results of her scientific work before 1901.
