Hello, Marc! I was so glad to discover your information on Meredith and Thomas Southerland/Sutherland. I've been attempting to track Thomas's father Philip for decades now. A few of us have taken DNA tests and match descendents of Aseneth, . I can't wait to check the possible match between you and me.

BTW, Thomas's wife Isabell may be a sister or niece of the father of the children of Thomas's sister Lucy. I believe the father of her children was Benjamin Rutledge, son of William Rutledge and Matilda King. If you read the will of William Rutledge, who died in 1804 in Stokes County, North Carolina, I think you'll understand what I mean. I haven't been in contact with anyone who knows for sure who Isabell's parents were. Guesses are a granddaughter of William and Matilda, perhaps through Johnson.
