Phillips-3752 and Phillips-3730 appear to represent the same person because: They are both the same person. I adopted 3752 and found him listed as child of Jesse Phillips 2nd wife, Levisa Justice. When I removed him from Levisa and attached him to Jesse Phillips and Nancy Bishop, I found that there was already a profile for William Phillips

Please note that Find a Grave notations are incorrect William Phillips was MIA at the battle of Turman's Ferry, Ky. Original he was reported MIA, believed to have died of exposure. The FAG states he was buried Richmond Va. Apparently his bodied was recovered and placed in an unmarked grave at the Richmond Kentucky Cemetery. On January 9th, 1864, at Turman’s Ferry, Company H of the 39th Kentucky Mounted Infantry was dealt a sharp blow by the 16th Virginia Cavalry. They were attacked in the night by a Company or more from Virginia. They suffered 14 killed, wounded or captured The commander of this detail, Denny Coleman, of Company H, Thirty-ninth Kentucky, was killed in the fight and all the others were driven out into the snow with weather at about zero or lower. Some of them became frozen, especially their feet, and suffered greatly. This would not be the last meeting between the 39th Kentucky and the 16th Virginia. Ferguson’s 16th Cavalry would be paid back in kind at Laurel Creek, West Virginia, on February 14th, 1864, by two companies from the 39th Kentucky Mounted Infantry and three companies from the 14th Kentucky Infantry. by Brian Hall and Robert M.
