Lucy Anne Morton was born in South Australia at Condowie, on January 26th, 1880. She was the daughter of James Morton and Lucy Lewis.
Lucy married, at age 20, to 22-year-old Walter Lindo Moyle.
They were married at the Residence of James Morton, Condowie, South Australia, on the 3rd of July 1901. [1]
In early June 1905, Walter, age 26 and Lucy, aged 25, left South Australia to live in New Zealand.
Walter and his wife Lucy had two young children at the time, Aileen, age 3, and Leslie age 1. Also with them were Walter's half siblings, Alice, age 21 , Edgar, age 17, and Rose Day, aged 14.
In New Zealand, Walter bought and farmed land adjacent to Ben and Frances McLaren, his sister and brother-in-law, who were living near Helensville, north of Auckland.

In 1917, after about twelve years in New Zealand, Walter and Lucy Moyle returned to Australia. Edgar and Alice, who had both married, remained in New Zealand, while 26 year old Rose returned to South Australia with Walter and Lucy, and their young family.
Not long after their return to South Australia, Lucy passed away. She was 37 years old.
Lucy died in Claire, South Australia, on the 3rd of January 1918.
Rose stayed with the family and helped Walter with his eight young children, who were aged between two and sixteen at the time of Lucy's death.
Both Walter and Lucy were buried at Clare General Cemetery.[2]
