Laura Therese Morriset was born in 1833 at Norfolk Island, New South Wales, Australia. She was a daughter of James Morriset and Emily Vaux.[1]
She married grazier, Philip Sellheim in 1865 at Balmain, New South Wales.[2] They had a daughter and two sons, the eldest of whom (Victor) became a Major General.
In 1874, the family moved to Maytown on the Palmer River when Philip was appointed Warden for the Palmer goldfield.
Laure died there in 1878.
