Hello

It’s time for a Project check-in!

Scotland Project Leaders check in with you at least once a year to see how you are doing. With the changes happening around the world, we understand that life is hectic right now.

What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?

This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.

Hello C,

My name is Sarah and I’m the Project Coordinator for the Scotland Project. As you may have heard, we have merged the Scottish Clans project into the Scotland Project. I am contacting you today to find out if you are interested in continuing with us under this new format. If you would like to go forward on the Scottish Clans Team, please reply and let me know which clans you have been working on or would like to work on. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

Sarah Mason, Scotland PC

Hello Sarah: I am still interested in working on the Scottish Clans Project. I would like to work on the Clan Muir Project. My ancestors are surname Moore, which falls under the Clan Muir. I hope that helps clear things up. Let me know if you need further information. :)

Hi C,

I hope you won't mind that I added a citation to Reuben Sawyer's profile. Ancestry has some great records but more detailed citations need to be included to make it useful for other researchers.

You can learn more about creating Ancestry citation with links in the Links to Ancestry FAQ. It doesn't include adding the name and date associated with the record like I did, but I've found that really helpful when I look at a profile at a later time.

I'm enjoying seeing your twig added to the branches of WikiTree,

Debi

Hi C,

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordination is essential. Thanks for joining the Quebecois and Scottish Clans Projects.

Hi C,

You will need to switch your "french_roots" followed tag to "france". Please check this out: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/846021/french-roots-becomes-the-france-project

Hi C!

Welcome to WikiTree. When you add a profile, please add information about the actual source where you found the information you're entering. Phrases such as "Information from researching family ancestory." and "found information through researching" don't help others who see those profiles understand where the information came from. Here's a page with information about adding sources: Space:Jillaine's_Dream_Source_Help_Page

Hi C

As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.

Has the New Member How-To been helpful or left you with any questions?

I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message.

Sometimes links don't work in emails.  If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Hi, welcome to WikiTree and thanks for your post on G2G.

I’ve added the Scottish Clans Project badge to your profile. If you click on the badge it will take you to the full list of our members. I’ve also added your name to our members interest page. Here you can let others know what you are working on.

Thanks for joining, enjoy and good luck with your research.

Hi C

My maiden name is Moore, I don't know if we are related, my Moore family is mostly in Kentucky so far but I'm sure they come from other places to.

Thank you C for volunteering, you are now a full member of the Wikitree community. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Please start with the  How-Tos  - they are really useful as you add profiles and learn your way around

If you click the green tags on your profile page, you'll see if other members are following the tag. Add more Surnames, Country or interest tags to improve links to community & research options. Information on tags is on page one of the How To pages. Please consider signing the Honor Code

Take your time, if you need any help using the site, let me know Janet ~ Wikitree Greeter

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section of your profile page
