Matthew Mitchel was born on 13 November 1801 in Elizabeth, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.[1]
He married Rachael Cunningham, daughter of James Cunningham Sr. and Elizabeth Cunningham[1]
Matthew died on 29 June 1887 at Olathe, Johnson County, Kansas and was buried at Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Winchester, Jefferson County, Kansas. His memorial has a photo, a copy of his obituary and links to those of family members.[1]
