Biography

Henry was born about 1790.

He married Maria DeLong, who was mentioned as the father of Thomas.

Elisabeth's birth, a possible daughter was recorded in the records of Christ Maxatawny or Delons reformed church, Bowers, Berks, PA. She was born on 18 Dec 1814. (Note Family Search lists her mother as Mary Neitterbaum)

Per the private records of Reverend Benjamin Elias Kramlich, Henry's son Thomas was born on 15 Oct 1816, the baptismal sponsors were John Yerger and Catharine Hinterleiter.

Research Notes

Miller is a common name as is Henry. It is possible that this Henry is not the father of Elisabeth born 15 Dec 1814.

Family Search lists a different mother for Elisabeth Miller (on the death certificate for Elisabeth): Mary Neiterbaum. - " Elizabeth Moore Female 97 (age) 30 Sep 1912(Date of death) Van Buren Keosauqua, Van Buren, Iowa, United States (Place of Death) 1815 (Date of birth estimate). Actual birth listed as 15 Dec 1814 on the certificate) Henry Miller (father) Mary Nitterbaum (Mother). Could mother, Maria DeLong have married twice?

The FindaGrave Memorial cites birth in Bedford, Bedford County, although the same death certificate has corrections. As Elizabeth died at the age of 98 mistakes may have been made as the birth date lines up with the PA Births and Christenings source above: Dec 18, 1814 (location was Bowers, Berks County and specifically mentioned Christ Maxatawny or Delongs Reformed Church (founded by the Delong family of Bowers). Her first child/son was named Henry H possibly named after her father Henry MILLER? Her husband was born in Johnstown, Cambria County,PA
