Anna Magdalena Meyer is generally agreed to be the daughter of Vincenz Meyer and Elizabeth Hasler of Steinsfurt, and to have married the Mennonite Martin Bär of Ittlingen. However, details of her birth and marriage are unclear.

Note: In 1997, Jane E. Best listed Anna Magdalena Meyer as a possible daughter of Samuel Meyer. [1] A year later, in 1998, she listed Anna Magdalena Meyer as a possible daughter of Vincenz Meyer, putting a question mark next to the relationship to indicate that she didn't have evidence to back it up. [2]

Best[2] states that Anna Magdalena Meyer was born c.1660 and married c.1680. Davis[3] states that she was born c.1664 and married c.1683.

Best[2] notes that Anna Magdalena's husband, Martin, was called "Alt" in Ittlingen in 1715, and suggests that he was probably Martin Bär, son of Felix Bär and Berchold Staehl, who, on 27 March 1669, paid his departure money in Oberdorf, Baselland, and was recorded as a servant to Oswald Bär in Ittlingen in 1679.

Notes

The original profile stated that she died 1730 in Ittlingen, but no evidence is provided.

Evidence is needed to confirm the births of the three children currently (Oct 2021) identified as hers : Elizabeth b.1675 Zurich, Martin b.1686 Conestoga, and Jacob b.1688 Ittlingen. There are numerous conflicts in the dates and locations of their birth.

Meyer-16854 and Meyer-48 are not ready to be merged because: Any reason not to merge these two profiles for the wife of Martin Bar of Ittlingen? Her husband's two profiles need a decision on whether they should be merged, or whether both men should have profiles (both profiles seem intended to be the Ittlingen man, but have different conclusions about the parents). Either way, it seems as though Anna Magdalena's two profiles could be merged.

Meyer-16854 and Meyer-48 likely represent the same person. Neither profile contains any primary sources, and the dates are all estimates.
