Heinrich Christian Meyer was born at Nienbüttel in 1802 as son of Frantz Jürgen Ludowig Meyer and his wife Margreta Dorothea née Schenck, and baptized in Natendorf on 18 February.[1] On 24 July 1829, he married widow Margarethe Elisabeth Schmidt née Studtmann of Einemhof near Kirchgellersen, therewith becoming interim farmer at her deceased first husband’s farm.[2] Two children issued from their marriage:[3]
When his stepdaughter Johanna Wilhelmine Schmidt married Georg Friedrich Hagelberg of Solchstorf in 1845, who therewith took over the Einemhof farm, Heinrich Christian took over Rieste farm no. 4 after its previous farmer Friederich Christoph Luhmann had died in November of 1845. Widowed in 1852, he married Sophie Dorothea Billige of Wulfsode in 1853.[4] He passed away at his farm from an abdominal illness in 1867 and was buried in Bienenbüttel on 12 December.[3]
