Biography
From History of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania:
John H., son of
James Mellor, settled in Pittsburgh in 1829,
and in 1831 he established the music business
now conducted by his son, the oldest of the
kind in the city, and was organist of Trinity
Church for twenty-seven years. He died in
1863, aged fifty-six; his widow still resides in
Pittsburgh, aged eighty. Her eldest daughter,
Louise P., resides with her, and the
second, Mrs. Annie M. Sheib, is in Canton,
Ohio.
