Biography
Henry was born before 1723. He is the son of Thomas Meakin and Sarah Dexter.
Monument in Chellaston, St Peter's, reads, " In memory of HENRY MEAKIN who departed this life Aug 30th 1804 aged 82 years. Also of MARY his wife who departed this life May 30th 1805 aged 80 years. “Their flesh shall slumber in the ground Till the last trumpet’s joyful sound Then burst their chains with sweet surprise And in their Saviours image lie”
