Jemima Meakin was baptised on July 11, 1760 at St John the Baptist in Chester, Cheshire[1]. Her parents were Thomas Meakin (1736 - <1807) and Elizabeth (Buckley) Meakin (1736 - 1807).

Jemima married Joseph Crofts (1760 - 1806) on August 3, 1799 at St Bridget in Chester[2].
