Biography
James Meakin was born in Nottinghamshire, England.
James married Rebecca Needham in 1818.[1] Rebecca died in 1840 at the age of 40.[2]
In 1841 James lived with his children at Hill Top in the parish of Greasley. He worked as an agricultural labourer.[3] He married Mary Massey (née Stapleton) in 1844.[4] The family lived in Hill Top in 1851[5] and 1861.[6]
